The Science: The first scientific article on the mangosteen's medicinal properties was written by Jaques Garcin in 1697. Since then, researchers in 11 different countries investigating this fruit for its medicinal properties have produced over 60 published scientific papers. The majority of these papers focus on the power of the biologically active ingredients unique to mangosteen, the xanthones...
Xanthones appear to
possess numerous
potential beneficial
properties such as,
“antiallergic,
anti-inflammatory,
antituberculotic,
antitumor,
antiplatelet,
Betaadrenergic
blocking and …
anticonvulsant"
properties. (Marona

More recent research
has revealed that,
while the xanthones
appear to be the
most nutritionally
important elements
in the mangosteen
fruit, catechins,
polysaccharides,
proanthocyanidins
and sterols also
play major roles in
providing the fruit
with its unmatched
medicinal qualities.
Our Review: We have found personally that the Mangosteen juice (whole fruit only) has fulfilled the science expectations for us. My energy level is way up and stable while in the back ground my athletes foot (that I have had since my Marine Corp days over 30 years ago) has healed up nicely. Julie also noticed that I have been losing weight (I had not take the juice for that reason. nice side effect hey). I have to admit since I have been using the juice I don't have all the urges for sweets. When we run out (seems to happen from time to time) my craving for candy bars comes back. Not sure what that is all about but I am sure happy about the outcome. The taste is very likeable a little tangy but not too sweet. The Mangosteen Juice is combined with other natural juices to add to its flavor and is therapeutic value. The product comes in 25 oz bottles with 4 to a case. A case will last most people a full month at the recommended dosage of 3 oz per day. At $25 per bottle my first reaction was the price was too high, but after using the juice for 6 months (since Nov 07) now the gains I have made are more then worth it for me. I have also found many other scientific articles on PUBMED.com that spell out many other advantages to a daily dose of the juice.
The Company: The web site for the Mangosteen Juice is a bit hypey (well what do we except it's a sales site), although it is a very informative site. Our link to the product will drop you off on the main page of the product site. The site is easy enough to use and gives you the options to order at the retail or become a member and buy at the wholesale. To gain wholesale pricing you will need to invest $35 to become a member (like Sam's club or Costco). The sales site is not like most sites we have encountered. Many force you into an auto ship option. I am very happy to say that his site gives you the option to decline auto ship if you like when you become a wholesale member (purchase the mangosteen juice at the lowest possible pricing). The company however has made it very easy to start up a auto ship option (via phone or on line) and is very quick and pleasant to deal with. The thing I like the best is that your initial order is covered by their money back guarantee. So if you get your first order and you use the whole case and you feel like it did not help your condition they will give you your money back without any hassle. Also we have never has a back order (the company's claim is that they have never had a back order) and one time our shipment got damaged (UPS trouble) and they reshipped over night to us at no charge to me. Very good customer service.
All in all this product seems to help most everyone that uses it. At the retail price of $37 a 25oz bottle it is too expensive for my blood but at the wholesale price of $25 per bottle I find it right in line with most of the many other health products of its type. Thanks and we hope this has been helpful. You can find more personal testimonials here Mangosteen personal testimonials
